SUMMARY: We are seeking an AutoCAD Civil 3D Drafter/Designer experienced with Civil /Land
Development, and Utility design projects to include Temporary Traffic Control (TTC, fks MOT) design to join a successful Consulting Engineering and Construction Engineering Inspection Firm located in Jacksonville, FL. Duties for the CADD Designer/Drafter position include preparation of designs and layouts with working knowledge of site civil for site development projects. Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience and proficient in operation of AutoCAD Civil 3D software is a requirement for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to interface with multiple project stakeholders including Architects, Contractors, OCPS vendors, and in-house Project Managers.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Such tasks can be done in all phases of project development including planning design.
  • Construction and closeout as supervised by the Program’s in-house Project Managers.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely define project management deliverables based on contract plans/specifications and push the responsible party to deliver within the predetermined schedule.
  • Ability to manage small and intermediate-size projects to comply with the OCPS process and procedures.
  • Ability to review design submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the OCPS Design Guidelines.
  • Ability to review projects’ change event documents including change orders and contingency requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to understand and implement in-house policies and procedures.
  • Ability to support all project deliverables during planning, design, construction, closeout, and warranty phases.
  • Skilled in tracking, evaluating, and reporting on the status of all deliverables.
  • Skilled in oral and written communications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A four-year college education (Bachelor) in construction, engineering, management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and industry-standard construction management software is required.
